Pets at Home has 40+ employees to date who have enrolled in various data apprenticeships through the Pets Data Academy, delivered by Cambridge Spark.

A changing landscape highlighted a need for more advanced data skills across the organisation. This led the company to create the Pets Data Academy in 2022, an internal initiative to teach existing employees and meet the demand for skilled individuals.

Following the introduction of Cambridge Spark by BRC Learning, Pets Data Academy officially launched their first cohort of about 15 learners on Cambridge Spark's Level 4 Data Analyst programme. The Academy has now grown, with a second cohort of 26 learners in 2023 taking on additional programmes. This includes the Level 3 Data Citizen, Level 4 Digital Business Analyst and Level 7 AI & Data Science programme.
