Cambridge Spark is announcing the launch of our innovative Level 4 Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship! As the first provider to offer an apprenticeship that follows the Level 4 Digital Product Manager standard released in May 2023, we are proud to continue driving cutting edge developments in digital transformation upskilling.

The demand for a Product Manager in the tech sector has grown by over 8x in the last year. But employers face major challenges with finding talent that can manage and drive forward new digital products. In response, Cambridge Spark has designed this programme to address the limited availability of qualified candidates, the rapidly evolving digital landscape, and the specialised skill set requirements that are increasingly in demand.

Skilled digital product managers are crucial to the success of products that deliver customer value in an increasingly technology-driven world. And this new course offers Chief Product Officers a fantastic opportunity to develop junior talent in their teams with a key product management skill set," says Dr. Raoul-Gabriel Urma, CEO and Founder of Cambridge Spark.

The programme will be delivered as blended learning incorporating self-led eLearning, online interactive workshops, and work-based learning projects. The programme duration is 14 months, plus an EPA period expected to be 4 months.

What is the Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship?

This industry-leading programme is fully funded by the Apprenticeship Levy offers employers the opportunity to reskill new and existing product managers. The programme focuses on building skills around understanding user needs and behaviours, engaging and influencing stakeholders, communicating across teams and data-driven decision making. 

In turn, learners come away from the apprenticeship empowered to create and manage digital products that drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction.

The curriculum covers key areas such as:

• Customer-driven product management
• Stakeholder management and communication
• User-centric design
• Data analysis for product managers
• Digital product planning
• Digital product development
• Managing digital products

Optional electives include product management for AI and data products and leveraging AI for product management.
